Christmas Special!- Boxing Day Madness, Dec-26-2013

10:30pm

As you all may know, usually Christmas time is a time of holiday festivities and family gatherings filled with food joy and wonder etc.etc. That time usually comes to an immediate close once fucking Boxing Day arrives

I swear to god- this day is literally parallel to that of The Purge (for those of you who don't know the Purge, it's basically one day of the year where people are granted permission to kill each other. It's pretty gruesome. watch the movie) LOL honestly- malls are packed you literally cannot walk 2 feet without someone pushing you or someone walking fucking turtle pace in front of you.

I may sound over board with this but i this is just because i just finished a work shift at one of the stores and it was so bad LOL- thank goodness i didn't work a closing shift xDD

I understand for some it's like a tradition for their family to go HAM, on gettin' those deals and whatnot- but comeon.. in this day of age, there's a thing called online shopping and they have sales there too ! LOL

Maybe it's different in other countries- i live in Toronto, so the sales here aren't that amazing. It's more of a boxing WEEK rather than day, so that discount is something thats going to remain even after Boxing day (another reason why i question their logic). I just want to make something clear here- i'm not trying to bash anyone LOL by all means, go shop. i'm just saying there are many alternatives where you can get the same exact time, not even wait in any line and still be satisfied with your purchase.

Anyway- enough of my ranting lol. i'm done
 LOL

Cheers everybody and happy holidays !

Unwrap Your Memories Campaign!

12:11am

Alright, now before i begin with this post, I'd like to say that I have officially completed Behavioural Research Methods and Statistical methods Part 1 ! :'D I'm so happy lol . and now!~..

Hello there my lovelies, I hope you all are having a wonderful Christmas holiday vacation~. I've recently received an email asking me

"Dear Kristine, what is your most memorable memory of Christmas?

whether it be when you were a child or even when you are an adult.

Okay, i have to be honest with you. Whenever someone asks me to think back to a certain time, or just thinking back in general, I either come up with some sort of negative response that just kills the conversation as a result, or a blank response... that's really just the first few things that come up in my mind until someone reminds me "didn't you do _____ over the winter break?" then, i'll be "Oh yeah! i did do that!"...

Its usually just the negative things that I remember. And on top of that i don't have a very great memory. I've had a lot of things happen to me, but that's for another time to share with you. For now, I'll try to remember the positive that happened to me during Christmas :)

A couple years back- this... hmm probably just when i turned 5 (2000). We usually spend our Christmas at my cousins. Being Filipino and all, all i could remember was the ample supply of food ! LOL it was everywhere-- wait. Lets not forget the karaoke machine- i had a microphone in one hand singing endlessly for 2 hrs (i think it was Britney Spears at the time), in the other hand was i think some Lechon (at this point, Google is your best friend).

It was the best- everybody was singing and dancing to my sad singing on the karaoke machine. It was great, i always sang infront of my dads new video camera, i also got my brother and sister with me, my closest cousins and the rest of my family, and the food LOL the glorious food. Everyone would contribute- everyone, so it was a feast.

**I do have to give you a little warning- my way of writing tends to be a little all over the place- i don't really like to edit and rearrange my blogs most of the time, so yeah lol. just bare with me here. (<--even saying this right now is alittle out of the blue lol.)

Tradition in my family went sorta like this- During Christmas/ Newyears eve, everyone would gather round by 11:50 of Christmas Eve or Newyears eve with the TV on blast on CityPulse (when it was still called that at the time), the kids (us) would be getting ready the pot and pans with the wooden spoons and the adults with change in their pockets. By the time the clock struck 12midnight- everybody would be celebrating with clanging pots and money thrown everywhere for us to try and catch LOL it was so terrible LOL. i was always the one to get the least amount- mainly cause i was the youngest and everybody else was big and pushed me away xD. BUT ! thats beside the point!!

At this point it was a time of celebration of thanking the world for having what we have- a family. i would see family members kiss, and and cousins getting grabbed by my uncles and aunts and celebrating together. Of course i was with my parents as well. It was greatest time during the year.

I hate to say this but my dad was right- I would be able to understand everything until i was older. And now that i am, evening now as i'm typing up with post for you that it's a memory that i should really cherish and remember instead of all the bad things that have happened to me.

These are the kinds of memories that will help keep me going and to move forward :)

---

Alright ! lol now, with that being said, i did mention earlier that this post was because of an email that someone sent me- that someone was actually www.destinyusa.com. They had recently asked me to participate in this lovely campaign called "Unwrap Your Memories" (hence the Blogpost Title). :))

I think i'm going to end it here before i pass out lol, goodnight all!

Cheers,

Stocking Stuffers for Christmas

11:24am

i'm currently studying for my statistics exam for next week... *sigh*

i thought i'd take my mind off of such an atrocity with a list of easy stocking stuffers that i think everyone would love- this is mainly for the ladies but also welcome for the men as well :D.

For me, i always have the problem of what to give to people because you know, even if you've known the person for a long time, you'd want to give them a decent gift right? Usually when i plan out my gifts for people i usually ask myself,

"Self, what is something that they need, and is within my budget?

(which is very important as a university student xD)

So for my case, i'm thinking of what to give to my sister, she's a nurse and i feel that shes always stressed and doesn't give the time to herself to you know.. relaxxx and just pamper herself, soo i thought it'd be great to give her small things that would help her relax after coming home from a long days of work.

This is a list of what I've come up with:

  1. Cotton Sheet Masks
I don't think she's ever tried these before- they're reall inexpensive and if you get a box set there would be about 10. Or if you want you can get an assortment of different facial masks so that the person you're giving it to will have a variety to try out :)

2. Facial Creams/ Serums/ Moisturizers/ Eye creams etc.

Preferably, I'd like to get her something from Lancome- like a night cream or something. So when she puts on something before she goes to bed, when she wake up in the morning her face will have soaked up all the nutrients and goodies and just feel- refreshed!  You can purchase any other brand or beauty line, for some reason i'm just drawn towards Lancome xD.

3. Cozy Socks/ Warm slippers

I believe that it should be in order that everyone own and really nice pair of warm fuzzy and cozy socks or slippers- like a MUST. You are not truly relaxed at home unless you have a good pair of cozy socks to wear or slippies to put on. My sisters place, is tiles and is pretty cold, the slippers that she does have is a little worn out so maybe getting a nice pair of bunny slippers would do the job. I'll have to figure out though how to stuff these in the stockings.
And if this is for a male friend- jsut switch it up and get slippers that look more like it should be for a dude- like Panda slippers, or bear slippers lol !

Be creative- have fun with shopping for your friends and family, it shouldn't be a months worth of stress and unnecessary fighting at malls (ladies). If you want to be practical then get shopping done early, and avoid the vicious crowds during december and november months.

Well then! I shall be wishing you all Happy Holidays ! :D

Cheers,

Drama Review: 예쁜남자/ Pretty Boy/ Yeppeun Namja !!!

10:33 a.m

ladies and gentlemen, it is h e r e.

How many episode approximately?   i believe there are approximately 16

Any famous actors/actresses? LMFAO if you said no to this question
then you are probably still new to
watching kdramas.

Genre? Comedic with of course romance

Should i prepare to cry a river?  lol hmmm, i wouldn't think so no

Why is 장근석 so glamorous?  LOLOL you tell me !

Characters

Jang Geun Suk as Dok Go Ma Te
  • The oh so glamorous Jang Geun Suk, comes back with another wonderful drama, as the "Pretty Boy" Dok Go Ma Te. It's basically what the title says- he's seen as the ultimate ladies man lol
  • i guess his basic goal is to in a sense live the luxurious life with his mum (he would use his glamorous to seduce rich women )

UI as Kim Bo Tong
  • Bo Tong has a very quirky personality. not to mention she is in love with Ma Te
  • She lives at home along with her brother and mother
  • she first met Ma Te on a bus stop (you'll see this scene in the pilot ep.) lol i don't know what to say about their relationship lol.... shes border line obsessed with him i guess.

Han Chae Yeong as Hong Yu Ra

  • Such a mysterious lady in this drama- a mysterious glamorous lady xD
  • I feel like i shouldnt tell you much about her LOL this is something that you should just find out when watching lol

Lee Jang U Choi David
  • David Choi... isn't that a name on youtube?
  • i would say that this character is the exact same replica (except in a mans body) of Bo Tong
  • we dont really know much about his other than the fact that hes the "MD" of a department? and that he's very caring and always looks out for Bo Tong

--> very contrasting to Ma Te's personality for sure

Synopsis
This drama focuses on the glamorous/ quirky relationship between Dok Go Ma Te and Kim Bo Tong- Bo Tong being the borderline obsessive usually goes out of her way to do outrageous things just to get Ma Te's approval or attention (which often times doesn't really work out too well)--> as aforementioned, Ma Te often uses his charms for money- he meets this millionaire who falls head over heels for him giving him anything he wanted.
At this point the mysterious lady, Yu Ra is introduced into the drama. This is the lady that has been mysteriously appearing and disappearing from Ma Te and apparently knows everything about him. She also tells him things that are mind blowing .... (that is all lol.)
David Choi.... the main thing i remember about him is him buying a hat wig from Bo Tong, and maintaining "Vintage dust" on his car.. LOL Bo Tong meets this fine young fellow at one of her "yard" sales. he Eventually helps Bo Tong on her quest to also help Ma Te with his own dilemma (which ties in with Yu Ra)

* this synopsis may seem a bit confusing xD please bear with me*

Response
Can i just say ! LOL they make Geun Suk so unnecessarily Glamorous !! LMFAO, in the first bloody episode they shoot him with his lovely locks flowing in the wind.. of a bus -_- LOL and his LOOKS LOLOL his looks and his poses that she presents to the ladies XDD LOL ridiculous xD.

and Bo Tong... man ... her outfits are another thing to complain about LOL- when you watch it you'll know what i mean lol.

This drama is very lively and i feel that there is an equal balance of the two dramas that are going on- good job producers and directors !

This drama is a total thumbs up and a definite recommend even if you're new to dramas and are attempting to start out slow- this is a great drama for you (but then again who wants to start slow watching dramas! LMAO)

Heres the trailer for you guys !

That's it guys, cheers !
