Are there any
actors/ actresses that I know of?Okay
so I have done my research, even though some of these character are not
recognizable- I know that that two main characters are from other pretty big
drama series (ex. Full House take 2, Secret Love)
What kind of
genre? Psychological,
romance, comedy, melodrama
12:33a.m Hello my lovlies! I just wanted to share this with you a wonderful discovery :')- at one point i was questioning the absence of Jang Geun Suk after his awesome drama in Love Rain until in We Got Married: Global Edition, Hong Ki called him if he wanted to join the wedding ceremony--> at this point Geun Suk said that he was busy so I said to my self, "Self, maybe he's working on a new TV series"
i. was. right.
LMAO- I believe that he's coming out with a new drama thats airing sometime in November, also starring in it, is UI (you might recognize her from Dream High) - i'm not quite sure what the synopsis is about but c'mon let's face it- if it has Geun Suk in it then it'll prolly be awesome LOL you can clink the link below and it'll direct you to a video that'll give you a little more insight on the new upcoming drama 예쁜남자 ~~ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GlbliOLoGPg enjoyyy~
Hello there! i've been pretty busy with school *i'm swimming in homework atm* but I suddenly felt the urge to write a new review on the new drama:
When was this Drama Released?- October 9-2013
Is this a Korean Drama?- Yes
How many episodes are out right now?- there
are currently 8episodes so far and 20 Eps in total
What genre is it?- theres obviously highschool romance
and some comedic reliefs here and there
Any well known actors?- oh yeah ! they're
everywhere in this one!
Is this a drama that will make you cry a river?- nope, at
least for me- there's nothing really intense (i.e and illness
or something along those lines) that happens
Can I just mention how AWESOME this drama in?! LOL
Characters
Lee Min Ho as "Kim Tan"
The youngest son of a big company (Jin Hyuk)
I guess you could consider his role as the typical highschool rich kid (dare i say "mentality"?)
rejected by his older step brother ( Kim Won), and just a cold hearted troll lol
first seen in the pilot episode, studying abroad in America (specifically Cali.)
btw, Lee min ho, is in City Hunter, Boys Over Flowers, and a historical drama lol
Park Shin Hye as "Cha Eun-Sang"
The daughter of a housemaid who works in Kim Tan's household
Eun Sang in a way represents the extreme side of Kim Tan's lifestyle as she isn;t able to spend so much on lavish luxuriouss thingss~
Eun Sang works hard to help with their household expenses
also has an older sister that to their knowledge is studying abroad in Cali.
you'd be crazy to not know Park Shin hye (if you don't, she's in You're Beautiful, Flower Boy Next Door)
Kim Woo Bin as "Choi Young Do"
LOL can i just say? this guy came off as the biggest dick at first in the drama- and you'd think that "oh well i'm sure things will turn around for him as the drama progresses" ..... i don't know LOL
He and Kim Tan used to the be best of friends when they were younger but whenever they see each other it's all just filled with an intense atmosphere and rivalry
I feel as though on the inside he's just a lonely soul that just needs some consoling LOL
his eyebrows though.. in the drama.... >_>
Kim Min Hyuk as "Yoon Chan Young"
I think you'd be able to recognize this baby face as the drummer of CN Blue, and also that hungry dude from Heartstrings (also with Park shin Hye)
Min Hyuk Plays the role of the best friend of Eun Sang and the boyfriend of Lee Bo Na
Chan Young is often helping out Eun Sang whenever she's in trouble- a kind of person that Eun Sang is able to rely on when in a bind
SYNOPSIS
The pilot episode depicts the life of Cha Eun Sang- working multiple part time jobs preparing for highschool and as well earning the money she makes to help her mother. They later receive a phone call from Eun Sang's older sister to send her money in America for school- however when Eun Sang actually flies over to the US to visit her sister she discovers her sister not even going to school or focusing on her studies and instead dating men and working park time jobs. The sister, being the backstabbing troll she is takes Cha Eun Sang's money and runs away.
At this point, this is where Eun Sang and Kim Tan meet where he offers Eun Sang a place to stay for the night. Here in Cali is where the majority of the cast members are introduced and sort of gives you some insight of their roles. Things already begin to happen at this point so i can't necessarily tell you everything LOL. it's all a matter of watching now >:3
RESPONSE
well.. i have to say it's been a while since i've watch a drama where i've been waiting anxiously for the episode to come out LOL. this drama has very strong actors/actresses so you could sort of assume that y'know ;) this'll be a good one lol .
There is just one thing that i don't really like about this drama that may see like a turn off at the beginning- LOL the way they speak English LOL. What's most interesting are the native english speakers *sigh* if you are able to get past that then this drama is perfect
it does have that typical situation between the guy and girl where one of them would be on a different social status bar than the other, but somehow end up liking each other.
^for me personally- i don't think i can get tired of these dramas LOL so i'm good
** ALL IN ALL - i think that this drama is a good starter drama if your just beginning to watch Kdrama- it's something that'll get you hooked right away !!
へるずわ面白いです!:D trolol
here's the trailer if you guys want to check it out
Alright, so for today's review we're going to be talking about the newly anticipated Kdrama "Who Are You?"/후 아 유
Is this a Korean Drama?: Yes
How many episodes have and will be released?: This is a new drama so there
are only 2 episodes that are up so far but for how many episodes
that will be released?.. not quite sure lol.
Any recognizable actors/actresses?: Yes, many- there isn't one character
that you don't know in this drama
Genre?: I can't necessarily say for now only because 2 episodes
have aired however based on what I have seen so far- most likely
mystery a little suspense and perhaps some romance? ;)
Here are the Main Character's of the story:
So Yi Hyun as Yang Shi On
So Yi Hyun plays a detective who was solving a case with her partner when she was badly injured leaving her in a coma only to wake up 6 years later
Flustered and confused she begins to see ghosts that others obviously can't see (most likely cause by the coma she was in? lol )
a former detective in the Special Task Force however voluntarily moved to the department of the Lost and Found Centre
TaecYeon as Cha Gun Woo
Cha Gun Woo plays the partner of Yang Shi On and also works in the same department with her
because of Yan Shi On's determination in justifying the ghost's she sees- Gun Woo is forced to go on the same missions with her despite the fact that they aren't even authorized to begin with
Taecyeon play's a very comedic character which relieves some of the suspense throughout the drama
Kim Chang Wan as Choi Moon Sik
The lead detective in his department
Choi Moon Sik is also someone whom Gun Woo highly respects
like Gun woo- Moon Sik, whenever on scene also displays comedic relief and at the same time portraying a figure of wisdom and always gives out good advice to both Shi On and Gun Woo whenever out on missions
Kim Jae Wook as Lee Hyung Joon
ahh the oh so glamorous Kim Jae Wook <3 lol plays the lover of Shin On and also her former partner
they don't say much (in the first two eps) about him other than the fact that he was shot and killed
Summary Alright, well assuming that you've already read about the major characters you probably would know that the main character is Yang Shin On. The story begins with Shin On and her partner, Lee Hyung Joon on a mission and were about to bust some gang smuggling? (lol ). Unfortunately during the mission, Lee Hyung Joon was shot and Yang Shin On had taken damage to the head being left in a coma for 6 yrs.
This somehow causes Shin On to loose her memory ONLY on the day of the accident and at the same time she is mysteriously is able to see and hear ghosts. Now from what I've watched, these ghosts come to her for help to justify what happened to them in the past and to basically put them to rest. And she does this with the help of her new partner Gun Woo.
She helps the ghosts to be put to rest while simultaneously trying to remember what had happened on the day of the accident and who had shot Hyung Joon.
Response Considering this be the first drama to actually write a review for right after I've just finished watching the latest episode.. this is a pretty good drama. AND ! on top of that. Taecyeon <3 LOL how can you NOT want to watch this?! LOL Taecyeon and Kim Jae Wook! lol some of this sort of doesn't make sense though lol, like how she was able to see ghosts? and how Shin On was able to being under a coma for 6yrs only because a man hit her with a gun on her head ... lol maybe i'm just being arrogant Other than that i've pleased to see a movie out that is filled with suspense, comedic relief and some romance here and there lol (of course! it's not a Korean drama without romance !! xDD ) That's it for today~ :) Cheers~ KQuimms
Here I am with yet again another review- You're the Best, Lee Soon Shin! Here we go!
Is this drama Korean?: Yes
Is this a new drama?: Not necessarily no, seeing how many
episodes they have released
Any Recognizable actors/actresses?: For me all these characters
are fairly new, except for UI
Genre?: Definately a Romantic Comedy
Will it make you cry?: LOL, i don't think so- there are challenges the
characters face but it's more of a drama that will
make you laugh than anything
How Many Episodes have been released?: Too many to count- alot.
Main Characters UI as Lee Soon Shin
Lee Soon Shin, the youngest of two other siblings was often belittled by family, close friends and just people in general. She would always think that people around her aren't able to recognize her potential and talent as an individual.
She is very hard working and committed in her efforts to get the job done in whatever she does as seen throughout the drama.
very gullible as a person, she ends up getting swindled by a man who called himself the CEO of a famous Talent Agency.
Jo Jung Suk As Shin Joon Ho
The real CEO of the Famous Talent Agency is Shin Joon Ho- a very conceided typical character of most korean dramas lol
cocky, and from first impression it's like he thinks that the world revolves around him lol
He first meets Lee Soon Shin at a celebratory event at a hotel where she accidentally ruins his outfit causing a fuss
Yoo In-na as Lee Yoo Shin
Yoo In-na is seen here as one of the older sisters of UI (Leee Soon Shin)
In-na is usually the sibling that bully's Soon Shin throughout the film and CONSTANTLY belittles her- so unreasonable !
she may have good intentions for her younger sister, wanting her to succeed and all but her methods in pushing her is so wrong! (you'll know what I mean when you start watching)
Go Joon Won as Park Chan Woo
Park Chan Woo is a dermatologist that Lee Soon Shin has the biggest crush on
the drama suggests that Chan Woo likes Yoo Shin and only see's Soon Shin as a younger sister
I feel like he's the only calm, collected and rational character and always lending a helping hand for the Lee family
Summary
Lee Soon Shin was an Alumni at a decent university trying to find a job- unlike her two sisters, she was not as successful in finding a job. Along with the stress and pressure of trying to satisfy her parents, Lee Soon Shin's older sister Yoo Shin is also giving her a hard time. She has stress coming from every corner and at this point I would even feel desperate myself.
She encounters a man who claims to be Shin Joon Ho- the CEO of a very famous Talent Agency and believes that Soon Shin has the potential to become a rising star in the acting industry. Almost instantly she gives in and signs a contract stating that she will be given ₩10,000,000. <--- Obviously this was a scam lol. This man eventually disappeared leaving Lee Soon Shin with an enormous amount of debt to pay of to the bank. As if things couldn't get any worse right? The real Shin Joon Ho finally meets Soon Shin and tries to convince her to sign a contract to become a real actress for the sake of some ridiculous bet that he makes with his ex lover.
Response
Hmm... I'm still only a couple of episodes in on this drama but it's actually good so far considering my doubts lol.. The only concern that i have is the amount of episodes this drama has- more than 35 FYI. yeah. and all of them are 1hr LOL, i'm just not sure whether or not I'll be finishing this drama. It's a good drama nonetheless and something to definately check out if you want to simply pass the time.
What type of Kdrama is this?: Slice of Life, School, Teen
Is it currently airing?: Yes
Is this a drama that will cry your eyes out?: I have not reached that point yet. But this a potential teary Drama series !
Any Famous or Well known characters?: Base on other shows that i have seen, I think that most of the characters a fresh faces (There are a couple However)
Major Characters
Han Yeon Soo As Min Se Yi
Kang Ha Neul As Jung Sun Woo
Yong Joon Hyung As Yoon Seol Chan
Da Hee As Kim Na Na
Summary
This drama starts off with the melodic voice of Min Se Yi (Han Yeon Soo) transitioning into the concert band "Man in Black" where we immediately see Yoon Seol Chan (Yong Joon Hyung)as they are both singing and playing the same song. At this point Se Yi, goes off to her new school where she is given the most unexpected welcoming.
Se Yi is a transfer student from New Zealand, on her way to class- she bumps into Seol Chan and an actress. Basically they get into a huge misunderstanding where Se Yi has her phone taken away from her. (At this point the relationship between Se Yi and Seol Chan begins >:D)
Seol Chan is like a magnet for making trouble- he accidentally slaps a girl in the face after being forced to kiss the student. Especially living in the generation of internet and digital technology- nasty rumours and comments regarding this incident spread like wild fire!
According to his manager, the only way to subdue these rumours about him and to not ruin his career is for Seol Chan to regularly attend school- in this way it will show his commitment and his sincerity towards the girl student and towards everyone in the Highschool.
Also meeting for the first time is her class president- Jung Sun Woo (Kang Ha Neul) The story goes from there at this point- personal and relationship conflicts and that whole package that comes with Highschool lol. Response Min Se Yi I think I really like her character the best. She is so calm and collective, very sweet and not to mention very cute aha! She is like your typical girl next door kind of person. You can tell in the first episode that at first she is a little shy and timid, but is not afraid to talk. This is the first time I've seen Yeon Soo act and i feel that she does a very good job at executing her role. The beginning of the series presented a warm and calm ambiance for viewers. Where this soon transitions in to very energetic upbeat and active by Joon Hyung. I personally think that this drama didn't have much to offer- it didnt necessarily have anything unique other than the young famous KPOP stars. This drama really reminded me of alot of other Highschool based shows (Dream High, To the Beautiful You, High Jump etc) Each of the characters you will see will face many great hardships, that are often ignored in actualy educational institutions. I guess in a way this drama is very different- it displays the many challenges the students go through (not to mention all the stress). It's very uplifting to the spirits while at the same time adds inthere a little cute love story. Don't get me wrong the drama series is mainly based on the relationship between two students but, the side stories would be the the other characters issues and concerns.
As for the relationship between Se Yi and Seol Chan - i would think that its pretty cute. This situation is done so many times but it never gets old for me LOL. the sweet innocent, but very firm Se Yi and the cold hearted, cocky Seol Chan ahaha oh man. Here's the Trailer for you guys ! ;D
**BOTTOM LINE*** If you like Hana Kimi, Dream High, Mischievous Kiss (Korean) and you can never get bored of Highschool love stories and you love KPOP stars ! LOL then THIS IS THE DRAMA SERIES FOR YOU! Thats it for my review ! stay tuned for:
